Also, between 1932 and 1987, Robert Heinlein, Class of 1929, wrote at least 32 science fiction novels. There is an academic chair in aerospace engineering named in his honor at the academy, according to the Naval Academy Alumni Association.
There’s also a crater on the Moon named after Heinlein.
