Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. According to the TrekToday Web site: Andrew Robinson, the actor who played Cardassian spy Elim Garak, has announced that he has started work on a new novel based around the popular character. The novel will be written in the vein of Robert A. Heinlein’s ‘Stranger in a Strange Land.’ The article described ‘Stranger in a Strange Land’ as a 1960’s cult classic about a man raised by Martians who teaches humanity a new life philosophy. Robinson’s earlier Star Trek novel, “A Stitch in Time,” dealth with Garak’s return to a Cardassia devasted by the Dominion War.
